A World First at ARIAN: The Durst P5 SMP Redefines Digital Printing

We are proud to be the first in the world to test and utilise the groundbreaking Durst P5 SMP (Super-Multi-Pass) Digital Printing Machine as the official beta partner! This revolutionary technology is set to change the way we print large formats and POS materials, marking another significant step in our ongoing investment in future-proof, high-performance printing solutions.

The Super-Multi-Pass technology combines the advantages of classic multi-pass printing systems with those of single-pass technology to realise unprecedented print quality at very high speeds. This combination enables the P5 SMP to achieve exceptional colour density and detail, while at the same time meeting the important customer requirement of speed-to-market.

Thanks to this advanced technology, we can now print with a resolution of up to 1200 dpi and at speeds of up to 1,940 m² per hour, setting new benchmarks for large-format printing – up to 3.5 meters wide.

For our customer, this means we can deliver projects faster, all while maintaining top-tier quality. The versatility of the Durst P5 SMP allows us to print on a wide range of materials, using 6 colour channels, offering almost endless design possibilities for marketing materials.

As part of this project, ARIAN has also made further investments, including a high-performance roll-to-roll digital printer (Durst P5 350 HSRi), two additional state-of-the-art industrial sewing machines, as well as optimisations to our internal warehouse logistics.
